Two Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies are expected to return to duty today, after Sheriff Curtis Keller announced Friday that he declined the ability to appeal the reinstatement of those two deputies in connection with an arrest back in November in which the deputies were accused of using excessive force. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, “Disciplinary actions have been imposed and accepted by all parties. As part of the actions taken, both deputy sheriffs will be returned to duty with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office on April 15th. The two deputies… Austin Ennis and Chris Merson… are expected to be back on the job today.
