FARMER ASSISTANCE OFFERED FOR LIMITED WINDOW OF TIME

The West Virginia Conservation Agency is offering assistance to farmers across the state, who were affected by the record-setting rains in 2018. The State Conservation Committee has approved an Emergency Assistance Program that will allow affected farmers to apply to their local conservation district for $60 per acre to reseed feeding areas… with a cap of up to 50 acres per farm. Interested farmers should contact the conservation district in their area right away, because the window to apply is limited. Applications will be approved based upon site visits and available funding. For all the details, contact the Eastern Panhandle Conservation district at 304-263-4376.
