A call about someone firing a gun from a car brought out troopers from the Hagerstown Barracks to Rt. 40 in the area of Stottlemeyer Road. The caller told police that someone in an older model Ford pickup truck, traveling west on Rt. 40, leanded out the driver’s side window and fired a shot at a pedestrian, who then fell to the ground as the truck zoomed off. State Police and Washington County Deputies searched the area for any evidence of the incident, but neither the victim nor any evidence was found. Troopers also notified hospitals in Washington and Frederick County, Martinsburg, and in Chambersburg, but so far… nothing. Now, authorities are turning to the public for help. Anyone who might know anything about it, shold call the Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barracks at 301-766-3811.
